MULTIMODAL APPROACH IN THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC NEUROGENIC PAIN SYNDROME
Abstract
Chronic pain is currently considered as a separate nosology, but its pathogenesis and therapy are not fully resolved problems of modern medicine. One of the main factors hindering adequate treatment is the lack of a concept for the management of such patients, as well as the lack of continuity in the work of doctors of various specialties. Literature data show that the comorbid states of chronic pain and depression are of great importance. The article describes the definition of pain, classification and concept of neurogenic pain syndrome. Special attention is paid to the pathogenesis and the need to influence etiological factors in the event of neuropathic pain. Multimodal methods for the treatment of chronic neurogenic pain syndrome, including medical and minimally invasive surgical methods of treatment, are considered.
