Abstract

Auscultation, a physical method, is a classical method of patient examination that still is one of the most significant methods when examining a patient. Do we in general need physical methods of research in modern medical practice? These issues have been discussed in the article, that is devoted to the main method of research - auscultation. The authors raise a question of present interest on a long-standing problem: how broad and effective the methodology of using basic physical methods of research is, subject to modern diagnostic approaches and methods, in setting main and concomitant syndromes.
